Hi! I'm Lisa.

I've got a young autistic daughter. She’s just 10 and still a ways off from the world of work but one of the things we have noticed lately and are challenged by is that as she gets older it seems her capacity to experience the world is decreasing and she needs more rest time. She is getting more overwhelmed and overstimulated or perhaps just articulating it more to us. (Just to give some context, she is home educated and supported in her interests so she is not having to cope with a daily school environment).

Her ideal life would be one continual rest time and she would have very limited interactions. She would interact with others on her terms.

Does anyone have some useful things for us to consider or any tips for us? How we can help her cope better?
